BRUCE B DOWNS BOULEVARD AT REGENTS PARK DRIVE, FEB. 2, 2:32 P.M.: A northbound 1980 Toyota hit an eastbound 1995 Ford. The Toyota driver, a 42-year-old man, and the Ford driver, a 41-year-old woman, both said they had the green light. No charges were filed. 2. LINEBAUGH AVENUE AT PLANTATION BOULEVARD, FEB. 2, 2:45 P.M.: A westbound 1992 Honda rear-ended a 1978 Ford, pushing the Ford into a 1988 Acura. The Honda driver, a 64-year-old man, was charged with careless driving. The Ford driver, a 41-year-old man, was cited for operating an unregistered vehicle and having no proof of insurance. The injured were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Town & Country Hospital. 3. FLETCHER AVENUE AT 23RD STREET, FEB. 2, 5:30 P.M.: A pedestrian walking west on the sidewalk said a 1988 Plymouth ran over his foot. Both the driver, a 42-year-old man, and a witness denied it. The pedestrian, a 12-year-old boy, was taken to University Community Hospital. No charges were filed. 4. U.S. HIGHWAY 41 AT SUNSET LANE, FEB. 2, 7:00 P.M.: 4. A southbound 1998 Chrysler turned left into the path of a northbound 1996 Ford, causing the Ford to flip. The Chrysler driver, a 47-year-old man, was charged with a right of way violation. The Ford driver, a 39-year-old man, and its two passengers, a 29-year-old woman and 5-year-old girl, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 5. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT SUNLAKE BOULEVARD, FEB. 3, 7:09 A.M.: A southbound 1996 Dodge crossed into the path of a southbound 1999 Chevrolet traveling 55 mph on Dale Mabry Highway. No injuries were reported. The Dodge driver, a 23-year-old man, was cited for a right of way violation and for driving without a valid license. 6. BRUCE B DOWNS BOULEVARD AT PINE DRIVE, FEB. 3, 6:54 P.M.: A northbound 1999 Jeep swerved and hit a utility pole when a southbound vehicle turning left onto Pine Drive crossed its path. The southbound vehicle then drove away. 7. COUNTRYWAY BOULEVARD AT SNAPDRAGON ROAD, FEB. 4, 12:00 A.M.: The drivers of a 1994 Chevrolet and a 1995 Ford lost control of their vehicles on slick pavement while traveling side-by-side in the northbound lanes of Countryway Boulevard. The Chevy swerved, rotated counter-clockwise and hit a concrete light pole. The vehicle then flipped, hit a concrete wall and rolled onto its side. At the same time the Ford swerved off the road, hitting a tree and concrete wall. The Chevy driver, an 18-year-old man, and the Ford driver, a 19-year-old man, were charged with driving too fast for conditions and careless driving. The drivers and the Ford passengers, a 21-year-old man and 16-year-old girl, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 8. TAMPA PALMS BOULEVARD AT AMBERLY DRIVE, FEB. 4, 12:45 A.M.: A westbound 1990 Honda swerved and hit a light pole. The driver, an 18-year-old man, was cited for driving too fast for conditions. He was taken to University Community Hospital. 9. EHRLICH ROAD AT BASSWOOD AVENUE, FEB. 4, 2:20 P.M.: A westbound 1996 Toyota rear-ended a 1989 Mazda slowing for traffic. The Toyota driver, a 17-year-old girl, was charged with following too closely. The passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to University Community Hospital -- Carrollwood. 10. CHAPMAN ROAD AT U.S. HIGHWAY 41, FEB. 4, 3:45 P.M.: A 76-year-old driver of a westbound 1999 Oldsmobile slammed on her brakes, swerved and hit a tree. The woman said she was trying to avoid a collision with an unknown vehicle. 11. EHRLICH ROAD AT CARROLLWOOD MEADOWS DRIVE, FEB. 5, 6:15 A.M.: An eastbound 2000 Mitsubishi traveling on Ehrlich Road collided with a northbound 1990 Plymouth turning left from a stop sign. No charges were filed. 12. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT VETERANS EXPRESSWAY, FEB. 5, 7:18 A.M.: An eastbound 2000 Volkswagen made a right turn into the path of a southbound 1993 Honda traveling in the left lane on Dale Mabry Highway. The Volkswagen driver, a 16-year-old girl, was cited for failing to yield right of way. 13. PALM SPRINGS DRIVE AT COMPTON PALMS DRIVE, FEB. 5, 10:40 A.M.: A westbound 2000 Ford collided with a southbound 2000 Nissan that entered the intersection. The Nissan driver, a 19-year-old woman, was charged with a right of way violation. 14. BRUCE B DOWNS BOULEVARD AT 138TH AVENUE, FEB. 5, 2:05 P.M.: An eastbound 1995 Pontiac turned left into the path of a southbound 2001 Volkswagen. The Pontiac driver, a 21-year-old woman, was cited for a right of way violation. The Volkswagen driver, a 33-year-old woman, her passenger, a 5-year-old girl, and the Pontiac driver were taken to University Community Hospital. 15. WATERS AVENUE AT SHELDON ROAD, FEB. 5, 4:20 P.M.: A westbound 1991 Chevrolet collided with a southbound 1991 Chevrolet crossing Waters Avenue. According to the report, the westbound Chevy driver, a 32-year-old man, may have suffered a seizure. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. The southbound Chevy driver, a 23-year-old man, was charged for a right of way violation and having no proof of insurance. 16. FLETCHER AVENUE AT NORTH BOULEVARD, FEB. 5, 6:30 P.M.: A northbound 1996 Nissan turning left was hit by an eastbound 1994 Toyota traveling 40 mph. The impact then pushed the Nissan into the path of an eastbound 1998 Toyota. The Nissan driver, a 16-year-old girl, was cited for failing to yield right of way. She and the Toyota driver, a 23-year-old man, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 17. BEARSS AVENUE AT ZAMBITO DRIVE, FEB. 5, 8:06 P.M.: A southbound 1989 Lincoln turning left collided with a westbound 1994 Ford. The Lincoln driver, a 75-year-old man, was charged for turning in front of approaching traffic and having no proof of insurance. The Ford driver was charged for having no proof of insurance. 18. TAMPA PALMS BOULEVARD AND PALMS SPRINGS BOULEVARD, FEB. 6, 8:00 A.M.: A northbound 2000 Infiniti hit an eastbound 1995 Chevrolet that failed to stop at a stop sign. The Chevy driver, a 19-year-old man, was charged with running a stop sign. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital. 19. FLORIDA AVENUE AT CHAPMAN ROAD, FEB. 6, 9:10 A.M.: A westbound 2001 Buick turning left collided with a northbound 1997 Dodge. The Buick driver, a 76-year-old woman, was charged with making an improper turn. She and the Dodge passenger, a 55-year-old woman, were taken to University Community Hospital. 20. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT NORTHDALE BOULEVARD, FEB. 6, 9:34 A.M.: A southbound 1988 Ford ran a red light and hit an eastbound 1992 Nissan traveling through the intersection. The Ford driver, a 54-year-old man, was cited for disregarding a traffic signal. The Nissan driver, a 26-year-old man, was charged with driving on a suspended license. Both drivers were taken to University Community Hospital -- Carrollwood. 21. BRUCE B DOWNS BOULEVARD AT 43RD STREET, FEB. 6, 11:40 A.M.: A westbound 1997 Chevrolet turning left collided with a northbound 2001 Mitsubishi. The Chevy driver, a 35-year-old man, was charged with a right of way violation. The Mitsubishi driver, a 62-year-old man, the passenger, a 90-year-old woman, and the Chevy driver were taken to University Community Hospital. 22. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT VAN DYKE ROAD, FEB. 6, 7:01 P.M.: A northbound 1994 Nissan rear-ended a 1993 Pontiac, which was then pushed into a 1995 Toyota. The Nissan driver, a 39-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. 23. COMPTON DRIVE AT CYPRESS PRESERVE, FEB. 7, 7:30 A.M.: A northbound 1996 Lexus traveling approximately 60 mph on Compton Drive hit an eastbound 1972 Ford making a left turn. The Lexus driver, an 18-year-old man, was charged for driving too fast for conditions and having no proof of insurance. The Ford driver, a 36-year-old man, was cited for a right of way violation. No injuries were reported. 24. GUNN HIGHWAY AT NIXON ROAD, FEB. 7, 7:53 A.M.: A southbound 1994 Dodge ran a red light and hit a northbound 2000 Dodge pickup truck turning left. The Dodge pickup then swerved into an eastbound 1997 Ford, causing the truck's spare tire to break free and hit an eastbound 1990 Nissan. The Dodge driver, a 39-year-old man, was charged with disobeying a traffic signal. The passenger, 48, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 25. HILLSBOROUGH AVENUE AT DRURY STREET, FEB. 7, 7:56 A.M.: To avoid a collision with slowing traffic ahead, an eastbound 1991 Chevrolet swerved onto the right shoulder and hit an iron fence. 26. U.S. HIGHWAY 41 AT HANNA ROAD, FEB. 7, 11:40 A.M.: A southbound 1992 Jaguar drifted into the inside lane and collided with a 1997 Chrysler. The reports state that the Jaguar driver, 41, was talking on her cell phone at the time of the accident. She was cited for careless driving. 27. FLETCHER AVENUE AT BRUCE B DOWNS BOULEVARD, FEB. 7, 2:50 P.M.: While backing from a parking space at University Community Hospital, a 1998 Chrysler hit a 1996 Ford stopped to drop off its passenger. The Chrysler hit the right side of the Ford, pinning the 19-year-old woman to the door. She was admitted to the emergency room. 28. HUTCHISON ROAD AT EHRLICH ROAD, FEB. 8, 8:14 A.M.: A northbound 1994 Mercury rear-ended a 1992 Nissan that was stopped and waiting to turn left. The Mercury driver, a 41-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. The Nissan driver, a 22-year-old woman, was taken to University Community Hospital. 29. NEBRASKA AVENUE AT 126TH AVENUE, FEB. 8, 12:15 P.M.: An eastbound 1995 GMC turning right collided with a southbound 2001 Mitsubishi. The GMC driver, a 72-year-old man, was charged with a right of way violation. The Mitsubishi driver, a 26-year-old man, was cited for not having proper child restraints in the vehicle. 30. GUNN HIGHWAY AT HUDSON LANE, FEB. 8, 10:22 P.M.: A westbound 1994 Nissan turned left into the path of an eastbound 1988 Chevrolet.
