Dinner, open house at Wesley Chapel High

Members of the SSAP Program at Wesley Chapel High School are sponsoning a spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 in the school cafeteria. A registration open house will be held after the dinner at 7 p.m. in the school gym. All parents of incoming and returning students are invited to both. In January the school's new thespian troupe went to Ocala to compete against other theater students in the district. Superior scores were awarded to Jasmine Wilt, Jacquelynn Gillespie and Melissa Domenech. The new group will advance to state competition in April in Tampa. Alex Masters and Russell Gillespie earned excellent scores and Jasmine was honored with a Critics Choice Award.
Citizens for Sanity to meet on Wednesday
Members of the Citizens for Sanity will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pasco Professional Center, 4111 Land O'Lakes Blvd. Guest speaker will be Joe Murphy from the Endangered Species Coalition. He will discuss the Endangered Species Act. For information, call (813) 996-5575.
Park foundation board to meet March 6 at library
The next Heritage Park Foundation Board Meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 6 in the Community Room at the Land O'Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway. One of the topics to be discussed is the Ballon Festival scheduled for May 5 at Starkey Ranch in Odessa.
Central Pasco Chamber gets report on SCORE
Don Welch will be the guest speaker at the general membership meeting of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce at noon Wednesday. The meeting will be at the Baldomero Lopez Veterans Nursing Home on Parkway Boulevard in Land O'Lakes. Welch is from SCORE, an organization of volunteers who help entrepreneurs find answers to business start-up questions and mentoring existing small businesses. For reservations, call (813) 996-5522. The chamber's Business Expo 2001 is scheduled for March 2 and 3 at the Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex on Collier Parkway.
CPR training class planned for March 10
Heart Starter II, a free community CPR training is set for five two hour sessions beginning at 8 a.m. March 10 at Pasco-Hernando Community College, 10230 Ridge Road in New Port Richey. Sessions begin at 8, 9, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Infant/pediatric CPR will be offered after the 1 p.m. class. For reservations, call (888) 741-5119.
Wesley Chapel Lions meet twice a month
