NOTES: This is the final home game for the Bulls this season. ... Seniors Layne, Ivana Lukic and Abbi Wilson will be recognized in a pregame ceremony. ... This is a game between teams that have struggled, which is unusual for Marquette. The Golden Eagles were in four consecutive NCAA Tournaments entering the season. ... After earning its first win Sunday since Dec. 30, South Florida lost Friday night to DePaul. ... The Bulls have lost 16 of their past 18 games. ... Not only are they lacking depth, with just nine players, the Bulls are injured. Shepard has an ailing ankle, center Ashley Teets missed practice all week because of illness and guard Melissa Tape suffered a concussion Friday and missed the second half of the game. ... Layne should end her career tied with Renee Bellamy for career games played (110) at USF. ... With four steals Friday night, Shepard has 69, surpassing her freshman total of 68. ... Marquette is in the midst of a five-game losing streak and comes in off a 71-52 loss at Houston. ... The Golden Eagles have struggled on the road, winning just three games away from Milwaukee. ... This is the third time the Golden Eagles have played in Tampa (1996 and 1999). ... Marquette leads the series 6-0.
