Hurricanes bury Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Darius Rice had 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting as Miami rolled over Villanova 80-62 Saturday night.

James Jones had 17 points and John Salmons and Marcus Barnes 11 each for the Hurricanes, who have won four of five. Miami made a season-high 13 of 25 three-pointers as Jones made 4 of 6.

Michael Bradley had 16 points and a career-high 16 rebounds and Ricky Wright and Gary Buchanan scored 10 each for the Wildcats, who turned the ball over 23 times.

TAMPA 71, ROLLINS 62: James Mereus scored 15 to lead five players in double figures as the visiting Spartans tied for first in the Sunshine State Conference.

ECKERD 86, FLA. SOUTHERN 74: Clevon Dunbar had 19 points as the host Tritons cruised.

GEORGIA ST. 68, STETSON 65: The Panthers clinched the Trans America Athletic Conference regular-season title with their 16th straight home win.

CAMPBELL 78, JU 68: Zydrunas Stankus and Adam Fellers combined for 27 points in the second half as the host Camels snapped a 10-game losing streak.

FIU 76, DENVER 54: Carlos Arroyo scored 18 of his 20 in the second half as the host Golden Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak.

HOWARD 72, FAMU 68: Jonathan Stokes had 18 points as the host Bison snapped a five-game skid.
