Clearwater financial planner Ray Ferrara no doubt will be be rooting for Secrets of the Wealth Makers to hit the bestseller list. Ferrara is one of two dozen financial advisers author Michael F. Lane tapped to share tips, techniques and experiences in the book published by McGraw-Hill.
Ferrara, president of ProVise Management Group, gave up selling IBM computers to enter financial planning 30 years ago when the field was in its infancy. These days he specializes in estate planning and money management. But in the book he says his "most satisfying success story" was helping an unnamed couple start a fund that paid for their daughter's college education. At her graduation party, the young woman stood up and thanked Ferrara for his help, he said.
