The duo is headed to state. In Saturday's Class A, Region 2 meet in Brooksville, the seniors earned titles in impressive fashion. Rodriguez took first in the 112-pound division with his second victory in as many weeks against Lake Weir's Eddie Gonzalez. Skidmore beat Titusville Astronaut's Brad Bundy 14-4 to claim first at 130 pounds.
GIRLS SOCCER: Sonya Segars of Citrus scored the Hurricanes' lone goal in a 2-1 playoff loss to Orlando Bishop Moore
BOYS SOCCER: Crystal River's Andrew Austin scored the Pirates' only goal in a 4-1 playoff loss to Orlando Bishop Moore.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Bob Adams of Seven Rivers Christian recorded 21 points and 14 rebounds in a Class A, District 4 semifinal win against Ocala School of the Kingdom.
Citrus' Jamal Galloway scored 20 points in a district loss to Lecanto.
Chris Jackson of Lecanto had 19 points against Citrus and 15 and 10 rebounds in a loss to Dunnellon.
Frankie Squire of Seven Rivers Christian scored 25 points in win against Ocala Kingdom and 28 in a loss to Ocala Shores Christian.
BASEBALL: Citrus' Clint Davis went 3-for-3 in a 6-2 victory over Wesley Chapel.
Marcus Galvan of Crystal River went 3-for-3 with two RBI against Gainesville Oak Hall.
Crystal River's Ryan Starkey pitched four innings of shutout ball in a 10-0 win against Oak Hall.
Clayton Trenary of Crystal River struck out 10 in a complete-game win over Dunnellon.
SOFTBALL: Lecanto's Emily Bayer struck out 14 against Dunnellon. In a 5-1 win over Ocala Vanguard, Bayer and Erin Bailey combined to strike out 16.
Jill Bandhauer of Lecanto went 4-for-4 in a 7-3 win against Dunnellon.
Citrus' Whitney Gelin went 3-for-3 with three RBI in a win over Wesley Chapel.
Courtenay Ryals of Crystal River was 4-for-4 with two RBI in a 9-4 victory over Belleview.
BOYS TENNIS: Citrus' Irvin MacQuarrie posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles against Dunnellon and picked up a key victory in a 4-3 decision over Crystal River.
Rushil Rao and his brother, Avash, of Lecanto each won singles matches against Crystal River and combined for a win at No. 1 doubles.
GIRLS TENNIS: Citrus' Andrea Hanson and Lindsay Horne each posted 6-0, 6-0 victories in a win against Dunnellon. Nicole Feldman picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win against Crystal River. Lecanto's Mujiba Ansari, Ashley Campbell, Jennifer Rimes, Jessie Roberts and Nisha Shah combined to go 15-0 in their respective singles matches in three wins.
WEIGHTLIFTING: Lecanto's James Crossley (219) qualified for state with a 550-pound total against Hernando.
