Governor Jeb Bush has appointed Frances A. Townsend of Tampa to the Florida Black Business Investment Board. Townsend is the president of Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation Inc. His term began Feb. 14, 2001, and will end on Sept. 30, 2002.
Regions Bank announces several new promotions: Lori Vassalli is the new assistant vice president. Vassalli has been in banking more than 14 years and is the manager of the Gulf Harbors office in New Port Richey. She is responsible for the daily operations of the branch as well as business development. Deborah Jentzsch is the new assistant vice president. Jentzsch has been in banking for more than 25 years and is the manager of the Palm Harbor office on US 19. She is responsible for the daily operations of the branch as well as business development. Janet L. Bradley is the new assistant vice president. Bradley has been in banking for more than 15 years and is the loan documentation manager for all of Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Nancy Yost is the new senior vice president of consumer administration. Yost has been in banking more than 20 years and will be in charge of retail branch lending and operations for Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.
Mark M. Huey has joined the staff of the Housing Authority of the city of Tampa as it's new chief financial officer. He will oversee a $37-million budget. Huey recently served as chief operating officer for Metropolitan Ministries, vice president for the Wilson Co.and assistant project manager for General Mills.
