FREE CFCC HEALTH OCCUPATIONS FAIR: Central Florida Community College is planning several sessions at an Occupations Fair in Building 36 on the Ocala Campus according to the following schedule: 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. March 1, 7, and 27; 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. March 13, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. March 19. Learn about health occupations programs, how to get started, financial aid and scholarships.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT AND FREE SPAGHETTI DINNER: Inverness Primary School will hold a Family Fun Night and free spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight . Dinner will be from 5 to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria and activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. the media center, art room, music room and technology lab will be open for reading and activities.

ADVISORY ENHANCEMENT COUNCIL MEETING: The Citrus Springs Middle School Advisory Enhancement Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday in the media center. For information, call 344-2244 or 489-6622.

BLACK BEAR WORKSHOP AVAILABLE FOR TEACHERS: Sherre Dabanian, St. John's Water Management District education coordinator and Marcie Clutter, Citrus County science teacher and education volunteer with Habitat for Bears, will present a workshop of the Florida Black Bear Curriculum from 9 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. March 3, in the Magnolia Room at Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park. A field trip to the Weeki Wachee Preserve will be included. To register, call Clutter at 746-2050 or Sherre Dabanian at (407) 323-8903.

STUDENT SEMINAR OFFERED: The Central Citrus Rotary Club is offering the annual Citrus County Leadership Seminar to Citrus County high school students from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 3 in the Lecanto Middle School cafeteria. Applications are available at the high school guidance offices. Admission is free and breakfast, lunch and beverages will be served. The object of the seminar is for each student to understand what is involved in being a leader and how to find the self-motivation to become a leader.

CFCC COMPUTER CLUB MEETING OPEN TO EVERYONE: Everyone is now welcome to CFCC's Computer Club, on March 1 at 4:30 p.m. There will be no charge to attend. The meeting is held in the Multi-Purpose Room, Building L2, Room 103.

BLACK RIBBON RALLY: Citrus County Students Working Against Tobacco will hold a Black Ribbon Day on March 9 at Crystal River Middle School, Withlacoochee Technical Institute and the Renaissance Center. Activities will include the announcement of the poster and essay contests and a SWAT membership drive and canvas signing. Students and faculty will be asked to wear black ribbons to signify a healthy life choice of being tobacco-free.

GREAT GATSBY GALA: You are invited to the Great Gatsby Gala I with buffet and dancing March 31, 7-11 p.m. at the McLeod House, 207 N Apopka Ave. It's a Roaring '20s party, with all the proceeds going to the 2001 Senior Class of Citrus High School's Graduation Night Party. $35 per person; it is limited to the first 250 tickets sold. These tickets are available at McLeod house or by calling 726-5115. Please make checks payable to Project Graduation. Roaring '20s costumes are requested but not mandatory. There will be a costume contest, silent auction, live entertainment, antique cars, a dance contest, and floral arrangement contest.

SPRING 2001 FAMILY WORKSHOP: The ESE department invites you to the Spring 2001 Family Workshop, March 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., at Lecanto Primary School. Workshops include exploring the Internet, helping your child at home, strategies for building self-esteem, and Make-n-Take: Visual Supports. For information, contact the ESE department.
