Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Citrus plans volunteer training workshop

CRYSTAL RIVER -- Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Citrus County will sponsor a volunteer training workshop from 10 a.m. to noon March 28 at its office, 640 E State Road 44.
All volunteers who are mentoring children, those who are going through the application process and potential volunteers interested in tutoring and mentoring are invited to attend.
The workshop will feature presentations to help volunteers with building a relationship, separating the child from the behavior and abuse issues and communicating with children.
Volunteers are encouraged to RSVP by calling 794-5414, ext. 221, to assure materials are available.
