I read it, copy and pasted it, and IM'ed it to my friend. He asked for the link, and when I sent him the link, the death story was gone, and it said he was only injured. I saw the exact message he posted, and when I refreshed the page, it was different. I dont know why, but it just was, and I dont have a dog in this fight, so I am not taking sides, just offering my observations. * * * From: Leisa Subject: Re Dale Earnhardt I'll be more specific. I went to ap.org, and clicked on The Wire. There was no story there. I went to That's Racing, Nascar.com, ESPN.com, Foxnews.com and Cnn.com. There was no story on any of them. It was a good 30 minutes to an hour before the story was on the website, and 15 minutes after that before it was on TV. This person posted a tasteless prank which turned out to be true. He deserves to be villified for his actions, not apologized to just because his prank turned out to be true. He was not a fortune teller. He didn't look into a crystal ball. There were several other prank posts on the group, just the timing of his was even less fortunate. * * * From: jg Subject: Re Dale Earnhardt I'm not sure when he posted it, and I'm definitely not trying to start a flame war. My only point was that he copied the story straight off nascars website. I was monitoring that web site at the time and they had no such story up. I believe he took a story which said that Dale and Tony Stewart had been injured and added the stuff about death as a "joke" ... Even if someone wanted to make up his death, do you really think they could get so many facts right? He didn't have to make up anything. You are pretty much the stupidest piece of crap I have run into this year. You want to get personal I'll do it in person, you sniveling coward.
