Magnolia St., 726-4296. Crystal River church hosts musicianFirst Assembly of God in Crystal River will host recording artist Roger Bankson at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Featured on radio and television across the nation, Bankson has recorded more than 20 albums ranging from traditional to contemporary Gospel music. The guest speaker for the 10 a.m. service will be Pastor Johnnie Powell. Dinner on the grounds will accompany the concert after the service. 5735 W. Gulf to Lake Highway, 795-2594. Forum offers abstinence messageLife Choice Care Center of Inverness will present a Parent's Forum with national abstinence speaker Doug Herman, 7 p.m., Thursday at the American Italian Club, 299 E. Gulf-to-Lake Highway. Herman chronicles the deaths of his 2-year-old daughter and young wife to AIDS, contracted from a blood transfusion. He speaks on the value of love and human relationships, and shows parents how to understand adolescent change and teach their children personal responsibility, self-discipline and character. Information will be presented about sexually transmitted diseases. All parents are invited. Students are encouraged to come but must be accompanied by parents. 'World Day of Prayer' scheduledNine area churches will join for the "World Day of Prayer" at 1 p.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando. This year's program is "Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action." After the program, refreshments will be served during a time of fellowship. 439 E. Champions of Life banquet is FridayCitrus Right to Life will hold its annual Champions of Life banquet Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. The main speaker will be Dr. David Roberts, a former abortion doctor who now works for the anti-abortion movement. Also speaking will be Florida Right to Life President Lynda Bell. Dinner reservations are due by noon Monday and are $25 per couple or $15 for an individual. Child care is available for a fee. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The program starts at 8 p.m. For reservations, call 726-9447. Spring rummage sale is scheduledThe Women's Guild of Beverly Hills Community Church will hold a spring rummage sale March 9 and 10. Preschool, nursery dedicatedWhile work continues on First Baptist Church of Crystal River's expanded building project, the preschool and nursery areas have been completed and were dedicated in January. The building now has an enlarged area to accommodate the growing number of children and an enclosed, modern playground next to it. The interior is designed with hand-painted murals donated by artist Karon Wilckens of Fayetteville, Ga., who is the daughter of church members Jim and Shandry Hembree. During the dedication, the church presented a plaque to Jennie Raecone, who has been a Sunday school teacher for 60 years.
