Herr Contracting wins four first-place remodeling awardsBy Times Staff Writer © St. Petersburg Times, published February 24, 2001 Herr Contracting Co. of St. Petersburg, headed by Kathe Bierhoff, won first-place awards in four categories in the 2001 awards competition of the Tampa Bay Area chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Bierhoff's company won for residential specialty, commercial specialty and commercial interiors and tied with KEL Construction of St. Petersburg, headed by Ken LaDelfa, for entire-house remodeling. KEL Construction tied with Mueller Remodeling of Seminole, headed by Dave Mueller, in the category of residential interiors. Daniel E. Ashline of St. Petersburg took first-place awards for residential kitchen remodeling over $60,000 and for historical renovation. Sharon Armstrong of Armstrong Kitchen & Bath Ideas of St. Petersburg took top awards for residential kitchens under $30,000 and residential kitchens from $30,000 to $60,000. Knothole Creations of Largo, headed by Paul Brown Jr., won the award for interior design.
