Variety is the spice of this home tourBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published February 24, 2001 What: Second Annual St. Petersburg Catholic High Tour of Homes, tour of nine private homes. Where: South Pinellas County, from the beaches to Seminole to the Old Northeast and Snell Isle neighborhoods of St. Petersburg. Tourgoers drive at their own pace from home to home; tickets include addresses and directions for each house. When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3. Tickets: $10. Available at Thomas Kinkade Galleries at Tyrone Square Mall; 204 John's Pass Boardwalk, Madeira Beach; and 202 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg; or call (727) 528-2270. On tour day, tickets will be available at two tour homes: 826 21st Ave. N, St. Petersburg, or 1336 Country Club Road, St. Petersburg. Tour benefits St. Petersburg Catholic High's technology program. The homes: A wide variety. The kitchen tile in a Mediterranean Revival home is imbedded with pet paw prints and framed art by preschoolers done in chocolate-pudding fingerpaints. Other homes enjoy expansive water and golf-course views. The homes are in Crescent Lake, the Old Northeast, Snell Isle, Seminole Country Club Estates, the Jungle, Pasadena Yacht & Country Club, Causeway Isles, Treasure Island and Tierra Verde.
