TAMPA -- A four-part workshop for beginning genealogists will be offered at the Tampa Bay History Center.
The workshop will cover skills and tools for recording family histories, the use of charts, preservation of documents and organizing of censuses. There will be instruction on where to look for information and how to put together a history book to share at family gatherings. The course will be conducted by Diane Covert Broderick, a local genealogist with 22 years' experience.
The workshops will be held on four consecutive Saturdays: April 14, 21, and 28 and May 5. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. and end at noon. Attendance at all four sessions is encouraged but not mandatory. The cost for all four sessions is $20 for history center members and $25 for non-members.
