Tree pollen count in heavy rangeBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published February 25, 2001 LECANTO -- The Citrus County Health Department on Thursday completed its weekly pollen count, which is conducted in compliance with the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology's standards. Fungal spores were light, grass and weed pollens registered in the moderate range and tree pollens were heavy. DOT completes lane striping on SR 44 EINVERNESS -- As promised, the state Department of Transportation has changed the lane striping on State Road 44 E near the Gospel Island fire station. Lyle Collins, who lives in the East Cove on Lake Tsala Apopka residential development, asked the state to change that stretch of road so that vehicles were not allowed to pass.
