FLETCHER AVENUE AT INTERSTATE 75, FEB. 9, 7 A.M.: A westbound 1994 Nissan turned left into the path of an eastbound 1993 Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 2. SUNCOAST EXPRESSWAY AT VAN DYKE ROAD, FEB. 9, 10:30 A.M.: Two pedestrians were hit by a northbound 1989 motor home that went off the road and hit a construction barrel. Both pedestrians, a 34-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, were taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The motor home driver, a 78-year-old man, continued north and was stopped by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. He said he was unaware that he hit a barrel and two pedestrians. He was charged with careless driving. 3. INTERSTATE 75 AT BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD, FEB. 9, 10:31 A.M.: A southbound 1999 International truck swerved into the lane of a southbound 2000 Ford. The truck sideswiped the Ford, causing the Ford to rotate and cross the grass median. The truck driver, a 36-year-old man, was charged with improper lane change. 4. TAMPA PALMS BOULEVARD AT BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD, FEB. 9, 12:50 P.M.: An eastbound 1993 Volvo rear-ended a 2000 Nissan. The Volvo driver, a 24-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. 5. BUSCH BOULEVARD AT FLORIDA AVENUE, FEB. 9, 1:40 P.M.: An unknown eastbound vehicle rear-ended a 1996 Mercury that was stopped for a red light. The unknown vehicle fled the scene westbound. 6. INTERSTATE 75 AT FLETCHER AVENUE, FEB. 9, 3:05 P.M.: A southbound 1992 Dodge commercial van couldn't stop because its utility trailer was overloaded with wooden telephone poles and rear-ended a 1993 Ford truck that was stopped due to a temporary closure by deputies escorting heavy equipment across the road. The Dodge driver, a 34-year-old man, was charged with careless driving and driving with a suspended license. The Ford driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 7. GUNN HIGHWAY AT ALEMA STREET, FEB. 9, 4:30 P.M.: An eastbound 2000 Toyota crossed Gunn Highway in the path of a 1994 Ford van, causing the two to collide. The Toyota driver, a 57-year-old man, was charged with violation of right-of-way. 8. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT NORTHDALE BOULEVARD, FEB. 9, 7:20 P.M.: An eastbound 2001 Nissan turned left into the path of a westbound 1998 Ford causing the Ford to spin around and hit a southbound 1998 Ford head-on. The Nissan driver, a 15-year-old boy, was charged with an improper turn. 9. NEBRASKA AVENUE AT 120TH AVENUE, FEB. 10, 10:32 A.M.: A northbound 1997 Chevrolet truck made a U-turn into the path of a southbound 1985 Kawasaki motorcycle. The Chevrolet driver, a 31-year-old man, was charged with improper U-turn. The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 10. FLETCHER AVENUE AT INTERSTATE 75, FEB. 10, 12:45 P.M.: An eastbound 1999 Saturn tried to make a left turn to turn around and go back westbound and turned from the wrong lane into the path of an eastbound 1995 Chrysler. The Saturn driver, a 53-year-old man, was charged with improper turn and no proof of insurance. The injured were taken to University Community Hospital. 11. GUNN HIGHWAY AT HENDERSON ROAD, FEB. 10, 2:45 P.M.: A northbound 1997 Buick ran a stop sign and turned left into the path of a 1996 Ford truck. The Buick driver, a 69-year-old man, was charged with running a stop sign. Two passengers in the Buick, a 74-year-old woman, and a 68-year-old woman, were taken to University Community Hospital in Carrollwood with non-life threatening injuries. 12. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT N LAKEVIEW DRIVE, FEB. 11, 2:05 P.M.: A northbound 1992 Ford ran a red light and hit a westbound 1985 Buick broadside. The Ford driver, a 37-year-old woman, was charged with running a red light. 13. STALL ROAD AT ORANGE GROVE DRIVE, FEB. 11, 3:50 P.M.: A northbound 2000 Mercury turned left into the path of a 1994 Nissan van. The Mercury driver, a 91-year-old man, was charged with running a stop sign. The Nissan driver, a 35-year-old woman, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with neck pains. 14. NORTHDALE BOULEVARD AT MANORWOOD CIRCLE, FEB. 11, 5:25 A.M.: A 30-year-old woman was headed west in a 1997 Pontiac when she fell asleep, drifted across the eastbound lanes and hit a concrete wall. She was treated at the scene and released. 15. SAGEBRUSH ROAD AT SANDSPUR DRIVE, FEB. 12, 6:59 A.M.: A southbound 2000 Dodge van turned left into the path of a northbound 1988 Chevrolet. The Dodge driver, a 39-year-old woman, was charged with failure to yield right-of-way. The Chevrolet driver, a 16-year-old girl, was charged with no head lights and was taken to University Community Hospital with facial injuries. 16. LIVINGSTON AVENUE AT SPRING GREEN DRIVE, FEB. 12, 1:55 P.M.: A southbound 1999 Honda rear-ended a 1995 Nissan truck. The Honda driver a 17-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. 17. FOX HOLLOW ROAD AT CYPRESS SHADOW AVENUE, FEB. 12, 6:05 P.M.: A 46-year-old woman was standing next to an open driver's side door while teaching a 16-year-old girl how to drive a 1993 Mazda. The teenager panicked when the Mazda began to roll in reverse and hit the accelerator instead of the brake. The instructor was hit by the open driver's side door as the vehicle continued in reverse, hit a small tree and wooden fence. The injured were taken to University Community Hospital. 18. TESSARA LANE AT PORTOFINO DRIVE, FEB. 13, 9:30 A.M.: An eastbound Mitsubishi was backing from a parking lot, hit a parked 1992 Volkswagen and fled the scene. 19. EHRLICH AVENUE AT HUTCHINSON ROAD, FEB. 13, 5:48 P.M.: A westbound 1989 Mercury turned left into the path of a 1995 Buick. The Mercury driver, a 39-year-old man, was charged with violation of right-of-way. 20. LIVINGSTON AVENUE AT WALLACE ROAD, FEB. 13, 6:19 P.M.: A southbound 1999 Ford rear-ended a 1994 Chevrolet causing the Chevrolet to hit an eastbound 1993 Nissan head-on. Both the Chevrolet driver, a 42-year-old man, and a passenger were taken to University Community Hospital. The Ford driver, a 17-year-old girl, was charged with careless driving. 21. GUNN HIGHWAY AT ANDERSON ROAD, FEB. 13, 7:42 P.M.: An eastbound 2000 Mercury turned left into the path of a northbound 2000 Chevrolet. The Mercury driver, a 16-year-old girl, was charged with violation of right-of-way. 22. EHRLICH ROAD AT HUTCHINSON ROAD, FEB. 13, 8:12 P.M.: A westbound 1987 Ford turned left into the path of an eastbound 1994 Ford. The Ford driver, a 50-year-old woman, was charged with violation of right-of-way and taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 23. NORTH MOBLEY ROAD AT HUTCHINSON ROAD, FEB. 13, 10:05 P.M.: An eastbound 1988 Mazda was traveling over the speed limit and tried to stop for a right turn but skidded approximately 135 feet before the driver let off the brakes. The vehicle went off the road and hit a wooden utility pole. The driver, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to University Community Hospital with minor injuries. 24. ANDERSON ROAD AT ELMFIELD DRIVE, FEB. 13, 11:45 P.M.: A northbound 1986 Chevrolet went around a curve, lost control, went into the median and into the southbound lanes. The driver, a 42-year-old man, corrected and started back across the grass median but the tires dug in and his car flipped over onto its roof. The vehicle slid to the east shoulder of the road. The driver was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor injuries. 25. BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD AT PEBBLE CREEK DRIVE, FEB. 14, 12:42 A.M.: A 22-year-old woman was headed south in a 1991 Chevrolet through a parking lot and for unknown reasons hit a tree. She was taken to University Community Hospital. 26. GUNN HIGHWAY AT SHELDON ROAD, FEB. 14, 6:20 A.M.: A westbound 1994 Toyota turned left into the path of a southbound 1991 Pontiac. The Toyota driver, a 16-year-old girl, was charged with failure to yield right-of-way. The Pontiac driver, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to University Community Hospital with back and neck pains. 27. LUTZ LAKE FERN ROAD AT APPIAN WAY, FEB. 14, 7 A.M.: An eastbound 1987 Honda rear-ended a 1994 Ford. The Honda driver, a 41-year-old man, was charged with following too closely. A passenger in the Ford, a 12-year-old boy, was taken to University Community Hospital with head and neck pain. 28. LINCOLN AVENUE AT GROVE DRIVE, FEB. 14, 8 A.M.: An eastbound 1999 Toyota lost control and hit a tree on the west side of the road. The driver, a 59-year-old woman, said she felt "funny" and hit the accelerator instead of the brake. She was taken to University Community Hospital. 29. BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD AT BEARSS AVENUE, FEB. 14, 5:58 P.M.: A southbound 1996 Honda turned left into the path of a northbound 1997 Nissan causing debris from the vehicles to damage a northbound 2000 Honda. The 1996 Honda driver, a 30-year-old woman, was charged with failure to yield right-of-way. A passenger in the 1996 Honda, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to Tampa General Hospital. 30. S MOBLEY ROAD AT GUNN HIGHWAY, FEB. 14, 7:50 P.M.: A westbound 1996 Jeep traveled over the speed limit around a curve, went off the road and hit a utility pole. Damage was heavy and minor injuries were reported. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, was charged with failure to drive in a single lane. She was taken to University Community Hospital Carrollwood. 31. N FLORIDA AVENUE AT BEARSS AVENUE, FEB. 15, 11:10 A.M.: A westbound 2001 Dodge van pulled out of a private driveway and sideswiped an approaching northbound 1993 Honda. The Dodge driver, a 78-year-old man, was charged with violation of right-of-way. 32. BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD AT BEARSS AVENUE, FEB. 15, 6:30 P.M.: A southbound 1994 Jeep turned left into the path of a northbound 2000 Nissan. The Jeep driver, a 29-year-old man, was charged with violation of right-of-way.
