BENITO MIDDLE: The PTSA General Assembly will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 10101 Cross Creek Blvd. Guest speaker Tonya Williams, health educator for H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center's Community Outreach Education, will discuss "Sun Safety -- Protecting Yourself and Your Children." Refreshments will be served. For information, call (813) 631-4694.

CANNELLA ELEMENTARY: Volunteers are needed to assist first- and second-graders in reading, writing and math. For information, call (813) 975-6941.

CITRUS PARK ELEMENTARY: The school's kindergarten registration and presentation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the media center, 7700 Gunn Highway. HUNTER'S GREEN ELEMENTARY: The spring carnival will be from noon to 4 p.m. March 11 at the school, 9202 Highland Oak Drive. The event will include rides, games, face painting, music and food. Ride tickets cost $1 each, $12 for unlimited rides. For information, call (813) 973-7394.

LAKE MAGDALENE ELEMENTARY: The school's Kindergarten Roundup will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the media center, 2002 Pine Lake Drive. Parents or guardians should bring a copy of their child's birth certificate, proof of residency, health and immunization records, and Social Security number. For information, call (813) 975-7625.The PTA will present the annual carnival, Manafest, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school. Activities will include festival booths, arts and crafts, silent auction and the "Taste of Lake Magdalene," featuring local restaurants. Tickets can be purchased for five for $1 in advance, four for $1 the day of the event.

MANISCALCO ELEMENTARY: Kindergarten registration and orientation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. March 26 at the school, 939 Debuel Road. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to register. Parents or guardians should bring their child's birth certificate, health and immunization records, Social Security card and proof of residency. For information, call (813) 949-0337.

SICKLES HIGH: Birthday announcements can be posted on the Sickles marquee for $20. Proceeds will benefit PTSA's student scholarships and teacher mini-grants. For information, call Sharon at (813) 926-0604.

STORYTELLING FESTIVAL: The 21st annual Tampa-Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21 at Hillsborough High School, 5000 Central Ave. The free event will include youth and adult storytellers, a storybook character parade, book fair, puppet shows and workshops. Students from kindergarten to 12th grade are invited to participate in the festival and become a youth storyteller. Registration deadline is March 5. UPCOMING SAT EXAM: The SAT exam will be administered May 5 at Gaither, Hillsborough and Sickles high schools. Registration deadline is March 29. Cost is $24. Late registration is an additional $15.
