Three suspects arrested after robbery at market
TAMPA -- Tampa police caught three men Saturday suspected of robbing the Tampa Park Supermarket that afternoon.
The suspects entered the market about 1:30 p.m. One of them held a gun to a clerk's head while demanding money, according to a news release from the Tampa Police Department.
The suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of money but were caught within two hours.
Nobody at the store was injured. Police have not released the names of the suspects or what charges will be filed.
A 21-year-old Tampa man was struck and killed Saturday morning while walking on Interstate 275 southbound about 2 miles north of the Livingston Avenue overpass, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Angel Laureano of 5212 Bonvivant Drive was in the right lane about 2:15 a.m. when he was hit by one vehicle and then by another following behind it.
