    Fire burns 5 acres near Dimmitt Chevrolet

    CLEARWATER -- An afternoon brush fire burned about 5 acres of woods Tuesday just east of Dimmitt Chevrolet on U.S. 19. Firefighters from Clearwater, Palm Harbor and Dunedin evacuated two nearby homes after several people reported the fire around 2 p.m., but no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation. "These brush fires this time of year can spread real fast," said Clearwater Assistant fire Chief Charlie Flowers. "They got plenty of units up there real quick, and that's important."

    Pain management support group to meet

    TARPON SPRINGS -- The Tampa Bay area support group of the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Helen Ellis Hospital, 1395 S Pinellas Ave. (Alt.     Singers needed for April performances
