Jacket signs with Tuskegee

Blake's Brandon Stancil has accepted a scholarship to Tuskegee University, a Division II school in Tuskegee, Ala.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Stancil played wide receiver and safety at Blake. He is projected as a wide receiver at Tuskegee, which went 12-0 and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and National Black College Championships this past season.

"He's a big-game player," Blake coach Clarence Higdon said. "He's just a downright athlete; the type of kid where he can go up in double coverage and catch passes and he's not afraid to catch it across the middle.

"You can throw him a quick out pass, and he can turn it into a big gain."
