WESTCHASE -- A builder says changing demand for housing styles has prompted him to modify plans to a portion of West Park Village in the Westchase development.
The parcel, south of Linebaugh Avenue and east of Radcliffe Drive, was approved by the county in 1999 for detached homes. But now, Randy Prince of Keystone Custom Homes is asking for county permission to construct one- and two-story condos on the vacant site. Plans include 36 villas, a recreation area with pool and guest parking. According to the petition, the homes won't exceed 35 feet in height.
County commissioners are scheduled to hear the petition April 24. (Petition 01-0499)
