BNI MEETING: Business Networking International will host its weekly breakfast meeting from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Piccadilly Restaurant, 11810 N Dale Mabry Highway. MOM'S NIGHT OUT: The Tampa Chapter of Mothers & More (previously known as FEMALE) will host a Mom's Night Out at 7 p.m. The group will meet at Shells Seafood Restaurant, 14380 N Dale Mabry Highway. All members and visitors are invited. Mothers & More is a not-for-profit support organization for women making the transition from employment outside the home to full-time motherhood. TRUCK ROUTE PLAN: The Hillsborough County Planning and Growth Management Department will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Citrus Park Elementary School, 7700 Gunn Highway. The topic will be the proposed amendments to the Truck Route Plan. The public is invited to give input and voice its concerns. County staff will be available to answer questions. SOCCER REGISTRATION: Northdale Soccer Club will hold registration for its spring Recreational Soccer program at Northdale Soccer Complex on Northdale Boulevard. Register from 6 to 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 and 6 to 8 p.m. March 15. Boys and girls teams are available in the following divisions: Under 6, under 8, under 10 and under 12. Teams must register as a group and make a single payment. Registration fee is $60 for all players, $5 off for each additional sibling. First-time registrants must bring birth certificate. The season runs April 5 through May 17; Thursdays are game days. For information, call (813) 968-2004.

DOCENT TRAINING: Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 W Sligh Ave., is offering a class for those who want to become educational volunteers at the zoo. Beginning today, the next six-week docent training class will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Attendance at both sessions is mandatory. Upon graduation, docents are required to commit to volunteer service for one year with a minimum of eight hours a month. For information, call (813) 935-8552, ext. 233.

ADOLESCENT SCOLIOSIS PROGRAM: The Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Scoliosis Association will meet at Westcoast Brace & Limb, 5311 E Fletcher Ave. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Gregory V. Hahn will present the program "Overview of Adolescent Scoliosis." The free educational program will begin at 6:30 p.m. A group discussion will follow to allow scoliosis patients to share their experiences, ask questions and discover how other patients cope. NETWORK PROFESSIONAL LUNCHEON: The New Tampa/USF Chapter of Network Professional Inc. will host its weekly luncheon meeting at 11:45 a.m. at Embassy Suites off Fowler Ave. near the University of South Florida. Bring business cards. For information, call Victoria at (813) 933-2788.

CARD LUNCHEON: The General Federation of Women's Clubs International Lutz-Land O'Lakes Woman's Club is hosting a card luncheon starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Land O'Lakes Community Center on U.S. 41. SPRING FESTIVAL: Rocky Creek Retirement Village will sponsor its 16th annual Spring Festival starting at 10 a.m. The event will feature arts and crafts, jewelry ceramics and home-baked goods for sale. Also, there will be a general store, thrift shop and a plant display. A barbecue dinner will be available for $7 starting at 5 p.m. In addition, a pancake breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday for $3.50 followed by a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bingo will be played starting at 1:15 p.m. Rocky Creek is located at 8606 Boulder Court off Waters Avenue. KIDS FUN FAIR: Bay Crest Elementary School, 4925 Webb Road, is sponsoring its Family Fun Carnival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature the Kids Fun Fair with inflatable rides, games and foods. There will be a raffle for gift baskets. For information, call (813) 872-5382.

HEALTH/SAFETY EXPO: The Hunter's Green seventh annual Health and Safety EXPO will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Captain Nathaniel Hunter Park. The event, presented by the Hunter's Green Communitywide Neighborhood Watch Program and the Tampa Police Department, is for Hunter's Green residents only. There will be medical and safety exhibits, hospital mobile units for health screenings, Tampa Police Department mounted patrol and helicopter, SWAT rappelling team, motorcycle drill team, K-9 unit and self-defense demonstrations. The Tampa Fire Department is providing a fire engine, ladder truck, E.M.S. unit, fire equipment and demonstrations. Children's activities will include face painting, crafts and Home Depot workshop and an inflatable obstacle course. For information, call (813) 973-3298.

CHILDREN'S CHESS TOURNAMENT: The Museum of Science and Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave., will sponsor a children's chess tournament starting at 9 a.m. Children of all ages and skill levels may participate. HIGH TEA LUNCHEON: The Auxiliary of Northside Mental Health Center is presenting a fashion show at its High Tea Luncheon at noon on March 12.
