Since the O'Malley family sold the Dodgers before the 1998 season, one of baseball's most revered franchises has been turned into a TV sitcom. Which makes sense since Rupert Murdoch's Fox Group was the buyer. Perhaps Fox was scheming all along to cross-sell the Dodgers with the network's prime-time lineup. Here are some possible story lines for the Dodgers on Fox:

(Show -- Premise* -- Dodgers plot)

Million DollarMysteries- Each week Fox will profile specific cases with the facts, theories and reenactments of crucial details. -- This week's case examines if GM Kevin Malone was of sound mind when he gave Carlos Perez a 3-year, $15.6-million deal.

That '70s Show -- A nostalgic and funny flashback to the"Me" decade.-This week, Tommy Lasorda takes credit for Dodger tradition, disco, Steve Garvey's black book and veal scaloppine.

Beyond Belief-This one-hour series draws viewers in by twisting reality. -- Gary Sheffield takes the full hour to explain how life stinks when your salary is stuck on $10-million and you are forced to work eight months a year.

America's Most Wanted -- America fights back: Takes on serial killers, fugitives on Fox.- Chad Kreuter's defense for a brawl in Wrigley Field stands? He hasn't hit anyone since '93.

Titus -- Titus' Philosophies of Life: No. 6. Thenormal make a living. The deranged makehistory. -- In a related story line, right-hander Kevin Brown is closing in on 200 career victories.

Temptation Island -- Four unmarried couples prepare and pack for their trip toTemptation Island. -- Agent Scott Boras, in tank top and flip flops, entices Dodgers brass with Darren Dreifort's 39-45 record. See who succumbs and offers a $55-million deal.
