The Connections Job Development/Placement Program opened a thrift and collectibles shop and a business clothes closet for its clients at the Connections Office, 5841 Main St., New Port Richey. The thrift shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Noehl Crest Homes unveiled the Hampshire and Newcastle, a pair of furnished model homes at The Crossings, a 40-acre enclave in the village of Fox Wood at Trinity, the $1.5-billion master planned community in southwest Pasco County.

The partners at Papillion Properties have transformed a west Pasco home at Quail Ridge into a decorator show house. What's unique is that the items in the house were secured by scouting expeditions to our local neighborhood thrift stores, and Goodwill Industries-Suncoast Inc. and the Salvation Army provided most of the key furniture pieces. The home will be a featured show house on March 10 and 11 from noon-4 p.m. A 50-cent donation per person is required, which will be divided equally between charity organizations.

The new owners of The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, New Port Richey Investors LLC, will host an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony with their new management team for the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce members on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the hotel. The hotel is under the management of General Manager Jackie Prather.
