Citrus High School Honors English juniors were asked: "What is your opinion of The Scarlet Letter?"

JUSTIN TAYLOR,17"This book will cure all your sleeping problems. Hawthorne writes 10 pages of story and one hundred and sixty pages of detail. Enjoy."

TIFFANY KOCH,16"I thought this book had a good story but it was excruciatingly drawn out. It was actually pretty interesting, but it could have been condensed."

ERICA FUNAIOLE,16"My opinion of the book wasn't a good one. The book could have been easily summed up, but instead Hawthorne dragged the story out. It did give a prospective on the Puritan society, but it was just a really boring book."

KYLE LOWE,17"Reading may be a little rough in the beginning, but the message outweighs any reserves of what wordiness there may be."
