The eastern premiere of Roarin' Judy will open at the Museum of Science and Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave. The play, written by Florida playwright Keith Fersti, will feature Dawn Truax in a solo performance. Show times for the performance, presented by STAGEWORKS, will be at 7:30 Fridays and Saturdays beginning this week and 4 p.m. Sundays thorough March 18. Tickets are $14 general admission, $12 for students and seniors, and $7 student rush (a half-hour before curtain). There will be 30 free student seats on Fridays; first come, first served. The three-day Egypt Shrine Circus will be held on the campus grounds at the University of South Florida on Fowler Avenue at Bruce B Downs Boulevard. Show times will be 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. All seats are $9. The family event will include the three-ring circus featuring three different acts, Hoffman's exotic jungle cats, gyro wheel, an aerial extravaganza, European clown Renzo Tociolini, the Rosaire family performing bears, Miss Stevana's Doggie Fashion Show, the Bill Morris Performing Elephants, Shrine circus clowns and much more. The New Tampa Rotary Club will meet for breakfast at 7 a.m. Friday in the Palms Room of the Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, 5811 Tampa Palms Blvd. This week's speaker will be Kelly Milizano, Wharton High School's faculty adviser to the Model U.N. She and her students will discuss their experiences on their recent trip to The Hague, Netherlands. The seventh annual Flamingo Fling Secondary Market Collectible Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Four Points Hotel, 7401 E Hillsborouggh Ave. Many prototypes and one-of-a-kind collectibles will be available to the highest bidders.
