Low expectations

It's no surprise that Dimension Films isn't planning advance screenings for critics of Get Over It, yet another R-rated comedy about oversexed teenagers in which the title is the only thing less distinguished than the plot. For the record, Get Over It concerns a student named Berke (Ben Foster) who gets dumped by his longtime girlfriend, then falls in love with her younger sister (Kirsten Dunst). You know a film marketing department is lunging for attention when a flash-in-the-pan pop star like Sisqo (The Thong Song) gets higher billing than trained actors with more screen time. Dunst (The Virgin Suicides, Interview With the Vampire) is too talented to settle for pap like this. Directed by Tommy O'Haver, whose claim to fame is the gay cinema success Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss.
