ART WORKSHOP: A sumi-e workshop conducted by Susan Frame will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Citrus County Art League, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486 west of Hernando. Sumi-e is done with simple brush strokes using ink and watercolor. Cost is $55 for non-members and $45 for members. Bring a bag lunch. Call Ginger at 527-6524.

FAIR PAGEANTS: The Miss Teen Citrus County Scholarship Pageant will be at 7 p.m. today, and the Miss Citrus County Scholarship Pageant will be at 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $4.

WOODY'S ROUNDUP: Riders In The Sky will appear on Rock Crusher Canyon's Garden Pavilion stage for two shows April 6. The Riders won a Grammy award in February for best childrens' album, Woody's Roundup featuring Riders In The Sky, on the soundtrack of the movie Toy Story 2. Tickets are $25 for adults, $12.50 for children 5-12 for the show and a barbecue buffet. BEATLES FOREVER: 1964 . . . The Tribute, will perform April 14 at Rock Crusher Canyon amphitheater stage. 1964 is billed as one of the best Beatle tribute groups currently performing. It has appeared on national television and in major concert festivals. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the gate. Children 5 and under free. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended for the outdoor show. No coolers. Call 795-1313.

SPRING MUSICAL: Broadway musicals -- old, new and somewhere in between -- will highlight the annual spring concert of the Sugarmill Chorale at 7:30 p.m. April 6 at First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, 8831 W Bradshaw St. The 55-voice chorale, now in its 21st year of operation, is under the direction of Christopher Berke with Martin Bachthaler as accompanist. Proceeds from the concerts are used in part to fund a $1,000 music scholarship for a Citrus County student who is studying for a career in some aspect of vocal music, either performing or teaching. Last year's winner, Kacie Ann Whaley of Citrus Springs, is currently a student at Palm Beach Atlantic College, majoring in music education. Tickets are $6, available from any chorale member or by calling 382-3498.

SCULPTOR CAIN: Sculptor Rick Cain will be at Vanishing Breeds art gallery, 105 W Main St., on the Courthouse Square, Inverness, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24. Working mainly with hardwoods, Cain's work features wizened old men's faces and graceful forms that contain hidden images. Cain will autograph collector's works. Call 726-6614.

CFCC ART SHOW: Central Florida Community College in Lecanto will host the Fourth Annual Art on Campus spring festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 31 to April 1. The show features juried art competition, workshops, food and live entertainment. Call 746-6721.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY: The Rock Crusher Canyon Garden Pavilion will host a St. Patrick's Day party from 6 to 10 p.m. March 17. An Irish buffet with chowder, corned beef and cabbage and a dessert will be complemented by a special musical performance by Razz Ma Tazz. The band will perform sing-along favorites such as When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, Danny Boy and others. Admission is $15. Call 795-1313.

AUDITIONS: The Citrus County Art League will hold auditions for A Thousand Clowns at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the center, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486 west of Hernando. The play has roles for four men and a boy. The play is about a free-wheeler who battles bureaucracy to raise his nephew. Call director Peter Abrams at 746-1123.

FLORIDA FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL: The Will McClean Music Festival will be from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sertoma Youth Ranch near Dade City. Tickets at the gate are $20 for the weekend, $12 for Saturday and $10 for Sunday. Pay for camp sites on arrival.
