Home parades and showhouses abound, so get out and see what's new in neighborhoods.

The spring calendar is full of showhouses, neighborhood tours and other events. Here are details:

Eighth annual Anna Maria Island Tour of Homes, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Four private homes open for tours. Tickets: $12 at the Anna Maria Island Community Center, 407 Magnolia Ave., which benefits from the tour. Information: (941) 778-1908. Directions: Cross the Skyway, follow U.S. 19 and take Business 41 south into Bradenton. (From Hillsborough, take U.S. 41 south into Manatee County and then Business 41.) Turn west on Manatee Avenue (State Road 64) and follow it toward the beaches. Once you're on Anna Maria Island, continue on Manatee, then turn right (north) on Gulf Drive. Follow it to Magnolia and the community center. Friendly reminder: Beach traffic can be heavy on spring weekends.

38th annual Chiselers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Plant Hall, University of Tampa, 401 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. "Tampa's largest one-day flea market." Books, art, clothing, jewelry, china, crystal, silver, collectibles, gourmet foods, furniture and accessories, plants and flowers, kitchenware, electrical items and tools, toys. Sale supports restoration of Plant Hall.

Parades of Homes continue in counties around the Tampa Bay area. Parades are showcases of new construction sponsored by local builders' associations. The parade ends Sunday at Pristine Place in Spring Hill, Hernando County (models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The march continues in Manatee and Sarasota counties, where 158 models are on parade through March 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 or 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Pinellas parade is March 17 to April 1; Hillsborough's is March 24 to April 8.

27th annual Designers' Showcase, sponsored by the Florida Orchestra Guild/St. Petersburg. Designer showhouse at Vinoy Place cityhomes, 585 Fifth Ave. NE, March 24 through April 14. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $10.

Fourth annual Pass-a-Grille Woman's Club Home Tour, 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 1. Five beach cottages, all new to the tour. Tickets: $20, available at Moon Shadow, 338 Corey Ave., and Nancy Markoe Gallery, 3112 Pass-a-Grille Way, both in St. Pete Beach, or call (727) 497-2712 for a recorded message about how to order tickets by mail.

Home & Condo 2001 Dream Home, open through April 1 at Quail West, Naples. Two-story, five-bedroom, seven-bath home with 8,381 square feet of living space, priced between $7-million and $8-million.
