LARGO -- Fifteen women will compete for the titles of Miss Largo 2001 and Miss Pinellas County as well as scholarship money at 7:30 p.m. today in the Largo Cultural Center, at Seminole Boulevard and East Bay Drive.

Roland Bailey, treasurer for the Miss Largo Scholarship Pageant, said this year, the winner will be crowned Miss Largo and the first runner-up will become Miss Pinellas County, a new title authorized by the Miss America organization. The two winners then will compete in the Miss Florida Pageant in June in Orlando. Tickets for Saturday's event are $12 for adults and $6 for students. For information, call Bailey at 530-5542 or Shannon Rees, executive director for the Miss Pinellas County pageant at 507-1875.
