Quilters show off wares, techniques

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Suncoast Quilting Circle presents its annual show, sale and auction, Today's Pleasures, Tomorrow's Treasures IX, Friday and March 17 at the Campus Activities Center at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus.

There will be demonstrations of stained-glass window quilting, back-to-front binding and other techniques, a boutique, vendors and door prizes. A drawing will be held for a charity quilt; proceeds go to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and the USF Oceanography Camp for Girls. Proceeds from a silent auction benefit WUSF-Ch. 16.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 17. Admission is $4. The Campus Activities Center is at Second Street and Sixth Avenue S in St. Petersburg.
