Construction is about to begin on the Villas del Verde, a 62-unit townhouse project on an old driving range next to the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club in Gulfport.
The two-story homes, with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and two-car garages, will range in size from 2,300 to 2,600 square feet with prices starting at about $280,000, said Gary Steinman, director of marketing and sales for the developer, CFS Investments.
CFS is the developer of the Villages of North Redington Beach, a 71-unit project of three-story Key West-style townhouses on Yacht Club Circle in North Redington Beach.

And the gold goes to a Fechtel home
The Fechtel Co. of Tampa won a gold award in the Best of American Living Awards presented recently by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders.
The awards are considered the Oscars of the home-building industry.
Fechtel's winning entry was the Villa d'Alme, a home in the StillWater development on Lutz-Lake Fern Road in Tampa. It took the award for "best one-of-a-kind spec home, 6,501 square feet and over."
The house, priced at $2.9-million, was designed and built by the Fechtel Co., which is headed by Jay Fechtel. Interior design was done by Paramore Interiors of Tampa.
The Mediterranean-style two-story house was inspired by a 400-year-old villa of the same name in northern Italy built by the Duke of Venice.
