CLEARWATER -- A man suspected in a string of robberies commited within a two-hour period Feb. 25 has been arrested.

Willie James Clark, 23, of 2312 Harn Blvd., faces charges of armed robbery, grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to arrest reports from the Clearwater Police Department.

Clark is accused of stealing the gun from a residence in the 1800 block of Elmhurst Drive, then using the gun in a series of robberies, arrest reports say.

Two other people, 23-year-old Derrick Works and 17-year-old Janine Macy, have been arrested in connection with some of those robberies, police said.

Arrest reports indicate Clark went to Macy's residence Feb. 24 and stayed the night with her. The two then stole a handgun from her parents' bedroom, reports say.
