The North Suncoast Republican Club will meet at 9 a.m., coffee at 8:30 a.m., Saturday at the Sugarmill Woods Country Club, 1 Douglas St. Citrus County Sheriff Jeff Dawsy, will introduce the guest speaker, Gail Tierney, senior affairs coordinator, Citrus County Sheriff's Office. Tierney will discuss the "Senior Scambusters" program, which is dedicated to informing seniors about fraudulent offers, particularly in the home repair and telemarketing fields.

The Citrus County League of Women Voters will have its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Coastal Region Library, 8619 W Crystal St., Crystal River. Guest speaker will be Roger Krieger, assistant superintendent of operations in the Marion Regional Juvenile Detention Center. For information, call Anita Taylor, LWV President, at 382-5602.

The Southwest Citrus Democratic Club will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday in the community room of the Homosassa Lions Club, 3705 S Indiana Ter., Homosassa. A representative of Hospice of Citrus County will be guest speaker, and the agenda will include plans for the club's participation in the Citrus County Fair. The Citrus County Democratic Executive Committee, which normally meets on the third Wednesday of the month, will not meet this month because of a schedule conflict with the County Fair. The committee planning the annual FDR-JFK dinner on April 21 at Andre's of Citrus Hills will meet this month. For information, call Joe Cino, DEC chairman, at 628-7191.

The Yankeetown-Inglis Republican Club will meet at 6 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m., March 20, at the Yankeetown Woman's Club on 56th St. Bill Cervone, the state attorney from Gainesville for the 8th Judicial Circuit, which includes Levy County, will be the speaker. The dinner will be a potluck dinner. The club is providing baked ham. Members and guests are asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert as well as their table service.
