CARPET STORE OPENS ANOTHER LOCATION: Bob's Carpet opened its doors last Friday in Carrollwood at 14306 North Dale Mabry Highway, replacing Flooring America.

"We have a variety of floor coverings including vinyl carpet and ceramic tile," said manager Nick Nickerson.

They have 14 locations and are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For information, call (813) 960-6171.

LIQUOR STORE COMING SOON: ABC Liquors plans to open a new location in the Market Place North II Plaza on N Dale Mabry Highway, just south of Ehrlich Road. The 12,000-square-foot store will replace Premier Fitness health club, which closed this year. They just received a building permit to start construction, so it will be a few months before the store opens.

Northdale

NURSERY CLOSES IN NORTHDALE: Frank's Nursery & Crafts, 15910 Mapledale Drive, closed this past Saturday after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection along with its parent company, privately held FNC Holdings Inc.

Frank's, based in Troy, Mich., is the nation's largest lawn and garden specialty retailer. It also sells dried and artificial flowers, holiday merchandise and home decor items. In November, the company announced plans to sell 42 underperforming stores, including all 11 in the bay area, to trim its debt and finance new outlets.

PIZZA SHOP CLOSES: Nancy's Pizzeria at 3817 Northdale Boulevard recently closed.
