PINELLAS PARK -- The state Department of Transportation on Wednesday recommended that an additional light be installed on U.S. 19 to help control traffic at the Wal-Mart Supercenter that's being built. The traffic light would be at 80th Avenue N, which also will be the main entrance into the store. The DOT's recommendation was unanimously approved Wednesday by the Traffic Signal and Median Control Committee of the county's Metropolitan Planning Organization. The proposed light will come before the MPO itself on Wednesday for consideration.
