Don't be chicken, get cooking

Tyson Foods is looking for a talented kid chef and hopes to find him or her through its "Now You're Cooking Smart" contest. The competition is based on Tyson's three C's of cooking chicken: Chill it to 40 degrees, Clean hands and utensils and Cook at recommended temperatures. The contest is open to students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. You must submit a 10-minute (or shorter) video of yourself preparing an original chicken recipe using the three C's. If you don't have a video camera, also acceptable is a frame-by-frame storyboard of a proposed video containing a photo or drawing of yourself doing the cooking. Go to the Web site www.tyson.com for rules and entry forms. Entries must be received by April 6. Five finalists will be flown to New York for a cook-off and the winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship.
