Knife attack leads to girl's arrestBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published March 16, 2001 CARROLLWOOD -- The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office arrested a 13-year-old on March 9 after she chased and attacked a 14-year-old girl with two large knives in an apparent rivalry over a young man. The attack at the Plantation home of Edward Graddy followed an earlier fight between the two girls at a local club, authorities said. When the victim, a south Tampa resident, arrived at 10713 Key Lime Way, the 13-year-old was waiting for her. Cursing and screaming, she allegedly threatened to kill the older girl and attacked her with a 12-inch knife and a 13-inch knife. Another teenager chased the 13-year-old out of the house before she was arrested on burglary and aggravated assault charges. No was was injured, Graddy said. Woman's purse snatched in grocery store lotNORTHDALE -- A 68-year-old Northdale woman's purse was stolen by an unknown assailant March 10 as she returned to her car in the Kash n' Karry parking lot at 15700 N Dale Mabry, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office. Mary Martina climbed into her car at 3:10 p.m. when a man grabbed her purse and fled on foot. The suspect was wanted on a strong arm robbery charge.
