MOON OVER BUFFALO: Mistaken identity, misunderstandings and an assortment of doors make for madness and mayhem in a day in the life of an acting family.

But the show must go on, as the Carrollwood Players presents Ken Ludwig's backstage farce,Moon Over Buffalo.

The cast includes Keith Bjorklund, Lauren Goode, Linda Hamrell, Kevin Kobasko, John LaFree, Alison Priester, Lauren Rodriguez and Thomas George Thomas, and the play is directed by Jack Steeley.

Performances are at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays starting tonightthrough April 7 at Plantation Plaza, 4333 Gunn Highway, just north of Linebaugh and Gunn Highway. DRAMA PRODUCTION OF THE BOYFRIEND: Step back in time with this parody of the musicals of the 1920s. Double lives, chases, dances and humor abound in this high-spirited, toe-tapping romp into another era.

High school students at Berkeley Preparatory School will perform The Boyfriend by Sandy Wilson. This free family event is at 7:30 tonight and Saturday along with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday. at the Berkeley Preparatory School, Lykes Center for the Arts, 4811 Kelly Road. REV. BILLY C. WIRTZ AT SKIPPER'S: Take a musical ride down the backroads of America with the Rev. Billy C. Wirtz. Wirtz is celebrating his new release, The Best of the Wirtz: 15 Years on the Road with a 77" Pianist. He incorporates blues, boogie-woogie and rockabilly, combined with Southern satire. The show starts at 8 tonight at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, off Nebraska Avenue. Tickets are $10 at the door. For information, call (813) 971-0666.

CELTIC HARPIST PERFORMANCE: In addition to being a harpist, Fiona Davidson is a singer, poet and storyteller. Although she's from one of the most remote parts of the Scottish Isle of Arran, she travels the world and revives the ancient Celtic tradition of the Bard. In myth and legend, the Bard is depicted as a mysterious multi-faceted figure: a harpist, singer, poet, teller of tales and a Druid.

Davidson will perform at 8 tonight at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa, 11400 Morris Bridge Road. Tickets are $10 at the door. For information, call (813) 625-2688.
