ST. PATRICK'S DAY: Club Tampa Palms, 16402 Tampa Palms Blvd., will sponsor a poolside "St. Patrick's Day Bar-B-Q." Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The event is open to residents living in Tampa Palms areas 4 and 8. For information or to attend, call (813) 979-9595.

ALPHA PARLIAMENTARIANS: The Alpha Parliamentarians/Tampa Unit will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Camelot A Room at University Community Hospital, 3100 E Fletcher Ave. The meeting will include a discussion of questions and answers for the registration examination. SPRING BREAK CAMP: Club Kids at Club Tampa Palms is offering a Spring Break Camp from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through March 23. The camp, for children ages 5 to 12, will provide lessons and activities including arts and crafts, tennis, cooking and sports competition. Also, special guest Mad Science, a visiting educational program featuring various science projects, will be there to help kids make a rocket and launch it. MOTHERS & MORE: The Tampa Chapter of Mothers & More (previously known as FEMALE) will meet at 7 p.m. at Park Place, 13550 S Village Drive at Casey Road. Beth Conte will discuss the Myers-Briggs Indicator Test and how it gives insight into different personality types and how your personality affects the type of mother you are. The meeting is free; visitors are welcome. The group meets on the first and third Tuesday each month. TEEN STRENGTH TRAINING: The Bob Sierra Family YMCA, 4029 Northdale Blvd., offers the program Teen Strength Training on Wednesdays and Fridays for ages 13 to 16. The six-week sessions will help participants develop a healthy understanding of proper strength training technique, learn the truth about nutrition and power-enhancing supplements, enhance athletic ability through increased strength and power, learn to challenge yourself continuously, enhance character development and psychological well-being and receive encouragement to embrace self-improvement. SPRING SOCCER PROGRAM: The Carrollwood Soccer Club is offering its Spring Soccer Program for boys and girls ages 5 to 14. Small-sided games, clinics and instruction to improve skills will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for six weeks starting today. Registration will be held during the first session at the Carrollwood Soccer Fields on South Village Drive at Casey Road. The program continues until May 1. Cost is $70. CHURCH CARNIVAL: Incarnation Catholic Church, 5124 Gateway Drive in Town 'N Country will sponsor its 37th annual fundraising carnival. The event will feature more than 40 midway attractions and rides for children and adults. The public may join in karaoke singing and visit booths for a taste of Chinese, Spanish, American and Italian cuisine from major restaurants. There will be 50/50 raffle drawings for cash prizes. A major raffle will offer a grand prize of $5,000, second prize of $2,500 and third prize a half-karat diamond ring. Carnival hours will be 6 to 10 p.m. today, 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday. GENDER BIAS: David Sadker, professor at American University, will speak about sexism in the classroom at 2:30 p.m. Sadker is the co-author, with his late wife, Myra, of the book Failing at Fairness: How Our Schools Cheat Girls in 1995.
