County paces quest for WWII memorialBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published March 17, 2001 HOMOSASSA SPRINGS -- Citrus County is leading the way in fundraising for the future Florida World War II Memorial and exhibits. It is the first county to organize a committee to assist in fundraising, the Citrus County Ad Hoc Florida World War II Memorial Committee, which has received more than $1,300 in contributions. Donations can be made to Florida World War II Memorial, P.O. Box 1253, Homosassa Springs, FL 34447. The committee will next meet on March 26 at the Citrus Times office, 301 W Main St., Inverness.
