(813) 884-1232 SERVICES AND PROGRAMS: Sunday worship at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10:55 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. except during the summer months. Music ministry, youth group, women's ministry, craft group, fishing club, Crown ministries and youth and educational ministries. LEADERSHIP: Jon Keiser has been the pastor for more than 4 years. He is an alumnus of the first graduating class at the University of Central Florida, he earned his master's degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pa., and a doctorate of ministry from Drew University in Madison, N.J. Keiser and his wife, Dee just celebrated their silver anniversary about a year ago. They have a son, Richard, 22, and a daughter, Jodi, 19. Keiser has a daughter, Sonja, 29 from a previous marriage. HISTORY: Members started meeting at Pierce Junior High School in 1962, and the church was chartered the following year. The members moved into their first sanctuary at the present location in 1966, and a new sanctuary was completed in 1993. RECENT SERMON TOPIC OR THEME: "Messages bring spiritual depth without losing intellectual integrity." MEMBERSHIP: About 500. OUTREACH TO THE COMMUNITY: The church sponsors a Cub Scout troop, hosts Alcoholics Anonymous, participates in the Meals on Wheels program and has a food pantry. It also supports Metropolitan Ministries and Lutheran Ministries of Florida. The church has a 35-year-old preschool and kindergarten. NOTABLE: The church is a charter member of Town "N Country Chamber of Commerce and Town "N Country Alliance and is active in both organizations.
