Fidele Lumeya and Krista Rigalo, of Crystal River, will begin a three-year Mennonite Central Committee assignment in Angola, in southwest Africa, in June working as peace builders for the Angolan Churches Council.
They have served with the committee in Congo, Swaziland and Virginia.
Fidele's parents are Hzash Lumeya and Ikuma Cathy of Congo. Krista's parents are Barbara and Robert Rigalo of Crystal River.
First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills will sponsor a Spring Scramble Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. today at Twisted Oaks Golf and Country Club. Cost is $40 per person and includes 18 holes, awards and dinner. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Proceeds will benefit the church's youth summer camp. Blue Ridge will present a concert of gospel music at First Baptist Church of Inverness, 123 S Seminole Ave., at 6 p.m. Sunday. The group has toured throughout the United States and has appeared in Canada.
Dramatic presentation set Monday in Lecanto
Loretta Wilson will give a dramatic presentation, I Watched Him Die, at St. Scholastica Church, 4301 W Homosassa Trail, Lecanto, at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The Citrus Christian Home Educators Association, a support group for Christian home-school families, offers monthly meetings, a newsletter, guest speakers and activities for students.
The next meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church, 4471 W Sanction Road, Lecanto. Helen Clark, a retired teacher and reading specialist, will give advice on reading. And a panel of parents and students will lead a discussion about what is necessary for high school. Membership forms will be available.

John McClure will visit Vineyard Christian Fellowship Thursday through Saturday to present Countdown to Apocalypse -- Are We Now in the Great Tribulation, a conference studying end-times prophecies. The speaker is senior pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Newport Beach, Calif. The church is at 960 S U.S. 41 in Inverness. Registration is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with the session from 7 to 9:30 p.m.; Friday sessions are from 9:30 a.m. to noon, 2 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday's is from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 7040 S Suncoast Blvd., will take a group to the Word of Life camp in Hudson to watch the Passion Play at 7:30 p.m. April 3. Cost is $32 per person, which includes transportation and reserved seating. The deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday. Call Susan at 628-7000.
The Eckerd College Concert Choir and the Eckerd Ringers will appear in concert at First Presbyterian Church of Inverness, 206 Washington Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursday. The concert is free and open to the public. The 44-member choir will perform a variety of works and musical styles. The Ringers, playing on five octaves of handbells and four octaves of hand chimes, will perform two original works for bells.
A yard sale will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday at 312 S Lincoln Ave. in Beverly Hills. It will benefit the library of First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills.
Full day of gospel music warms up in Homosassa
The Homosassa Chamber and the Culp Family will present the Second Annual "Singin' at the Springs" all-day Gospel Music Event beginning at 10 a.m. April 7 at Nature's Resort RV Park in Homosassa.
