LARGO -- Free child photo I.D. and fingerprint kits are available through the Missing Children Awareness Foundation Inc., 13094 95th St. N, Largo.
Since 1984, the non-profit foundation has made the kits available to parents and guardians in the event a child is reported missing. Each kit contains a section for listing the child's physical description and any distinguishing marks, a dental chart to be filled in by a dentist, a personal information section, DNA instructions, room for a photograph and thumbprint and instructions. Kits are available in English and Spanish; specify when ordering.
Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Missing Children Awareness Foundation, 13094 95th St. N, Largo, FL 33773. In addition to distributing the child I.D. kits, the foundation sponsors a Christmas party for needy families. For information, call the foundation at (727) 585-5360.
