Natural causes cited in woman's death
ST. PETERSBURG -- A St. Petersburg woman whose body was found by her roommate died of natural causes, police said Monday.
Jamee Hogan, 48, who had lived at 21st Street and Queensboro Avenue S, had a history of seizures, authorities said. She had upper body trauma. She was found dead Saturday evening.
GULFPORT -- Voters will choose a City Council member today to represent Ward 2, the city's southeastern quadrant.
A runoff election pits incumbent Jack Olsen, on the City Council since 1991, against political newcomer Dawn Fisher.
A third candidate for the Ward 2 seat, John Hamilton, was taken out of the running at the city's March 6 city election, where he received 8 percent of the vote. Fisher received 47 percent of the vote, Olsen 45 percent.
Registered voters in Gulfport can cast ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the following polling places: Ward 1, Gulfport Recreation Center, 5730 Shore Blvd. S; Ward 2, Gulfport Presbyterian Church, 5313 27th Ave. S; Ward 3, Holy Name Catholic Church, 5800 15th Ave. S; Ward 4, Gulfport Church of the Nazarene, 1000 55th St. S.
ST. PETERSBURG -- A woman who was shot in head last week as she locked up Tanny Fanny salon remains in critical condition.
Suzann Rogers, the salon owner, said she visited Claudia Eanes in Bayfront Medical Center on Sunday. She said Eanes, a 34-year-old mother of three, is improving.
"A little bit better every day," Rogers said.
Police have not made an arrest.

ST. PETERSBURG -- The last of four suspects in a home invasion and killing in December has been arrested.
Shannon L. Clark, 23, was arrested Monday and charged with armed home invasion, armed residential burglary, residential burglary and attempted armed burglary.
He is being held in the Pinellas County Jail without bail.
Since the fatal shooting of Dwight S. Fleming, three other people have been charged. Fleming, 39, was shot Dec. 13 when he happened upon three men robbing his neighbor.
