The city of Tarpon Springs wants to use a piece of Pinellas County land to create a dog park north of E Live Oak Street. Interim County Administrator Gay Lancaster recommended to county commissioners Tuesday that they approve a license agreement with the city for the land. Entry to the park would be on the east side of a city parking lot. The city would install a 6-foot chain-link fence around the site so dogs could not get into the county's adjacent wetlands. The city also would put in benches and trash cans and keep the park clean.
