The firehouse has 11 antique firetrucks and a playground. Children are taught fire safety, watch a video and receive free memorabilia. Free admission, but donations accepted. Call 585-1300. Bereavement survivor support group beginsLARGO -- The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast begins a new bereavement survivorship support group this month. It is for those whose spouse died while residing in a nursing home. Sessions will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through May 1 at the Hospice's chapel, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo. A volunteer training class will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and March 31 at The Hospice's main community service center, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo. For bereavement support group information, call The Hospice's Bridges Program, 586-2812. For training, call Kathy Roble, director of volunteer services, 586-4432. Boating safety course this weekendCLEARWATER -- A condensed boating safety course will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Clearwater Community Sailing Center on Sand Key, 1001 Gulf Blvd. The course will include boat terminology, boat handling, safety equipment, "rules of the road" and aids to navigation. Recommended for those who own or plan to buy personal watercraft, powerboats or sailboats, the course is sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
