Civil Air Patrol Cadet Bobby Hollingsworth, 16, son of Stephanie O'Reilly of Palm Harbor and Robert Hollingsworth of St. Petersburg, has received the Earhart Award from the Bayside Bridge Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

Capt. Christine Ferry, commander of Civil Air Patrol Group 8, presented the award, which promoted the Tarpon Springs High School student to the rank of captain.
