Citrus digestBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published March 22, 2001 Car washes will help girls, boys earn service hoursINVERNESS -- The Department of Juvenile Justice will have two car washes this month. The girls' car wash will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and the boys' car wash will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 31. Both will be at the Children and Families Building, 2315 U.S. 41 N, Inverness, and both will be free to the public, although donations will be accepted, with proceeds going to the Citrus Abuse Shelter Association. The car washes are being held to give the girls and boys an opportunity to work off community service hours. For information, call 860-5105. Oak Village homeowners to discuss U.S. 19 projectHOMOSASSA -- The Oak Village Women's Club encourages all members and residents of Oak Village to attend a meeting of the Oak Village Homeowners Association at 1 p.m. Friday at the Oak Village Tennis Club. The association is trying to spearhead a movement to beautify U.S. 19 from the Citrus/Hernando county line to the post office.
