Perfect games have become commonplace at Lane-Glo Lanes North thanks to the Trio Scratch Classic. The Wednesday night league has 23 perfect games this season.

Rich Kastner ended a recent dry spell by tallying a perfect game March 14. It was Kastner's second perfect game of the season and the league's first since Feb. 21.

Perfection seems to run in bunches at the Trio Scratch Classic. The league had four perfect games in one night and two each on four other nights. During a six-week stretch from Jan. 17 to Feb. 21, the league registered nine 300 games.

The hot streak was highlighted by four 300s in two league nights. Dusty Flores and Jim Kupres Sr. each had perfect games on Feb. 7. Don Swogger narrowly missed a third perfect game with 299.

The following week on Feb. 14, Jerry Merlo and Todd Epler each bowled 300s. Once again, another bowler missed making the 300 club by one pin. This time it was Adam Smith who had 299.

Jeremy Storms tallied the ninth 300 in six weeks Feb. 21.

A mere .05 points separate the league's top two bowlers. Jim Kupres Jr. leads with 232.47. Anthony Lombardo is close behind with 232.42. Each bowler's top score is 289. Perfect games are nice but consistency has proven to be more rewarding to the average.

The team of Formisano leads the league by 9.5 points with team members Scott Bradshaw, Vic Oliver and Jim Formisano tallying a total of 171.5. Finest in Florida is second with 162. ANOTHER 300 GAME: Glenn Gabriel bowled 300 at Leisure Lanes on March 15. Gabriel did the trick during the Thursday Night Businessmen's league.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY ACTION: Robert Augustin won the St. Pat-

rick's Day Tournament at Royal Lanes in Land O'Lakes. Augustin bowled 846 to beat runner-up Ronald Benton's 817. Augustin won $200 for winning the no-tap tournament.

Bryan Sanders provided another bright spot by registering a 300 game during his second round. The feat was worth $115 and Sanders finished ninth overall.

BOWLING WITH THE BUCS: Royal Lanes in Land O'Lakes will be hosting a Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers event Sunday. Three or four Tampa Bay players will be on hand for bowling and autographs.

Royal Lanes does not know which Bucs will be appearing. The event costs $20 for two hours of bowling and is limited to 100 people. About half of the tickets have already been sold. Call Royal Lanes at (813) 949-3606 for information.

GOLF WINNERS: Pete Karkhach and Eric Neu shot 144 to win the recent member-guest tournament at Heritage Pines. Mike Love and Jim McGaugh were the low-net winners with 106. Steve Blackwell and Bill Persin shared the putting championship. Joe Ferraro, Tom DeBruin and Carl Douglas won a shootout.

HOLE-IN-ONE: Charles Lackey collected a hole-in-one Feb. 21 at Heritage Pines. Lackey used a 7-iron to ace the 158-yard 17th hole.

UPCOMING GOLF EVENT: Meadow Oaks will host the fifth annual Chasco Fiesta Golf Tournament on April 1. The four-person scramble has a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The event costs $60 per golfer and the proceeds will benefit Keep Pasco Beautiful. Call (727) 856-2878 for information.
